She Art No 2 - Modern Girl

The theme for this canvas was to create your own girl, and to base her on yourself.  Hmmm - the challenge began . . .

This was quite an emotional journey, but very enjoyable.  The background pieces are copies of little notes and drawings done by my daughter when young.  Whilst they are not visible in the finished piece,  I know they are there, and adds extra meaning to the end result.

the shirt was stamped, embossed and then embossed again with a different colour
The necklace and buttons are rubons and 'Perfect Pearls'

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the pant leg and coat and then replaced piece once cut to give a bit of dimension

havent quite mastered the short hair look :)
